Hello, I'm skyler
Portrait & Lifestyle Photographer
Hi there! I’m Skyler Hauser, the heart behind SkyLight Photography, based in the Shawano and Waupaca County areas of Wisconsin. If you're curious to know a little more about me, you’ve come to the right place…
I’ve always been the girl with a soft heart and a love for life’s little details. I grew up in the countryside, and that slower, more meaningful way of living has shaped so much of who I am. I’ve always been drawn to nature, animals, and all the things that often go unnoticed!
When I’m not behind the camera, you can usually find me thrifting for vintage treasures, dreaming about my future countryside cottage, or spending time with my two dogs, Bodhi and Baker - They are my whole world and, honestly, a big reason why I value capturing life’s little moments so deeply.
I’ve always loved photography, even before I thought of it as something I could pursue. I've always been the one with a camera in hand, taking photos of everything around me. Now, I’m choosing to follow that passion and pursue my Degree in Photography at NWTC, where I'm continuing to grow and build a life around something I’ve always loved.
I truly believe in chasing dreams wholeheartedly - The kind that feels a little scary but completely right. And for me, this is one of them!
My approach

My approach to photography is intentional and true-to-life!
I’m not here to create stiff or overly posed images. I’m here to capture people as they are - The in-between moments, the quiet glances, the laughter that isn’t forced, and the memories that feel worth holding onto.
My goal in every session is for you to feel comfortable, relaxed, and completely yourself. I know being in front of a camera can feel intimidating, especially if you tend to overthink (trust me, I get it). That’s why I lead every session with patience, kindness, and a gentle presence. I'll guide you when you need it, but I'll also give you space to just be.
I’m deeply inspired by nature, soft light, warm tones, and that timeless, almost nostalgic feeling - Like a photograph tucked away in an old album. I want your photos to reflect that same feeling. Something you can look back on and not just see, but truly feel.
If you’re someone who values genuine moments, a slower pace, and images that feel like a memory rather than a performance, we’ll get along just fine!
